1. I have a Gold 1.9 TDi, being tuned to over 300bhp with a hybrid turbo, high flow injectors and a custom ECU. Apparently 3 bar boost pressure.
Don't try this at home.

stock boost levels for 1.9 TDI ?
2. Hi all.
can someone please tell me what the factory boost level is for the 1.9 PD TDI mk5 Golf ?
i read somewhere that it's 2.1 bar ? that sounds a little high to me.
that's 30.87 psi. that sounds like lots for a stocker.....(my first experience with a diesel, so i have no idea what's normal)
im about to buy a boost gauge, and wanna make sure i get one that has the correct range.
i plan to have the ecu flash tuned at a later date too, so some leeway will be needed, as i don't want to be replacing the gauge in the future.
can anyone shed some light ?
Jason.
Answer: From 0.9 Bar @ idle up to 2.1 Bar. Diesels tend to run almost twice the boost of a petrol car.
3. Can someone share what is the expected boost on GTB1756VK on 1.9TDI engine in the low RPM range?
I've seen one example in another topic with almost 2 bar boost (3 bar absolute) at 2000RPM, but having experience with some smaller (but vnt1, not vnt3) turbos I would consider that as pretty optimistic. However there is always hope that vnt3 turbos are fast spooling.
Also is there a compressor map for this turbo? I am curious about the surge line for the GTB1756VK.

2,0 bar at 2000rpm is no problem with this turbo in higher gears, but the question is how fast it spools not how early. Much is in the tune and the adjustment of the turbo.
Its a realy good turbo if you read som of what has been written here.
