the diode's operation point or Q point is a certain current to voltage ratio which the product is marketed at. when creating a diode, there is a certain temperature window in which the diode will function normally which is the thermal voltage. Obviously VW designed their circuit so that it would operate within this window. However, over time, diodes do break down depending on usage and operating conditions but unlike the diode, the circuit supplies the same current and voltage.
I know firsthand that there are 48 diodes behind that screen. 42 for red, 8 for orange(low fuel, etc). what else is funky about that circuit is that there are multiple Voltage in layers which all go to what i can only hope is a common ground(wouldnt make any sense otherwise).
rig up a 9V battery, resistor, and some wire to test each individual diode for consistent brightness. inconsistent = swap for new LEDs
I swapped all of my diodes for brighter green ones. other suggestions would be alternator or battery because mine dim momentarily when my sub hits a large bass note.
Ili trgni prvo od alternator ili akumulator pa sve ostalo
