SCT i znaci Sudheimer Car Technik Vertriebs Gmbh.
Oil filter from SCT Germany ("Mannol") on OM601 *glllp*

Hello everyone,
just had an encounter of a special kind. I know that the use of low-priced oil filters on the OM601 ... OM603 is controversial. I had used up my old Filtron and Mann filters during the penultimate oil change and thought to myself that you could actually TEST the really cheap ones... So which ones from the sales company SCT Germany (label on packaging "Mannol"; inside probably Made in Far East or similar ...) purchased and installed for little money. The extensive use of some oddly custard-colored glue/sealant throughout the filter cartridge was striking, but whatever - let's install it.
YOU! FINE! A great thing. Removed the filter today after 10,000 km when changing the juice ... uh, where is the lower part??? Unbelievable: This cheap filter has a perforated green cardboard underneath, which encloses the inner filter lamellae. And there wasn't much left of that cardboard; on top of that, almost everything fell apart.
I was just able to keep the lower filter cartridge seal from settling out of the wobbly sift barrel into the engine.
Oh man. The engine oil dissolves this pudding-colored glue, takes it with it into the cycle and the filter may fail because the junk slowly and completely goes away and frays.
And I recently ordered a few more filters from TE from that stuff... crap. I should have afforded a better Mann filter or something similar.
Incidentally, interesting: The packaging says "
certified according to DIN ISO 9002" ...
I would assume that this applies to the manufacturer of the packaging! Man, what a shit!Has anyone had a similar experience or do I have a Monday filter on the wrap?
Thanks & Greetings
